Around 500 entrants are expected to tackle this challenging event which is organised under U.K. Athletics rules and involves an accumulated ascent of over 1,200 feet. The race is a single loop circuit run entirely on the road surface and passes through the hamlets of Bretton and Abney, skirts around Eyam Moor and returns to Eyam via Sir William Hill. Funds raised by the event and other activities organised by the Eyam Half Marathon Committee throughout the year are donated to local cancer care charities and a variety of village organisations. |
